Introduction:
Have you ever run into instances where you hear the right words, but even by hearing the right words, at the core something is incorrect or inaccurate? If not careful we can do the same with God’s Word, there is a tendency in our world to say, “Really what God is saying is...”
Micah here is not the same Prophet Micah that we hear about in the OT. This Micah lives in the mountains of Ephraim.
This narrative begins with an interesting interaction between Micah and his mother.
What we will be looking at is the components of “foolish faith”. Through out this exposition we will unpack the realities of abandoning God and the results of doing what is right in our own eyes.
“Foolish faith” is considered to be faith that is based on foolishness, or falsifications that have derived from drifting away from what is right in the Lord.

Application:
Lesson learned while interviewing someone who learned the Acronyms but yet had know clue what he was talking about.
Often times, we can so easily morph the Word of God into our daily living. Allow it to permeate in certain areas without taking full root. We suppress the truth at Paul explains in Romans. We know the Word, yet through our actions we reject God. We follow the principles and maybe even the doctrines taught in the Word, and we abdandon the relationship with our God… this is religion.
Romans 7 recap of being freed from the law and married to Christ!
Exodus 20:3 NKJV
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
Sinful actions can have a trickle effect towards other.
The Sacrifice differences between Cain and Able remind of of the differences in motives that can be had when worshipping God. This was an interaction of poor worship.
In our day and age there are many gods that distract us, derail us, and destroy us. May I also remind us, although life was defended last Tuesday, and our land does have a “present leader” and one to follow, at a whole, our country does what is right in their own eyes. Religion is saturated throughout our nation. It has become one of the most distracting tools from Satan to derail people or keep people from seeking and seeing the one and true God. Do you see Him clearly? Do you remain focused, are you following Him in “fruitful faith”?
Lets remind ourselves of:
Hebrews 9:11 NKJV
11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.
Hebrews 12:1–2 NKJV
1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
